We strongly consider our safety program to be the backbone of our success. Cirrus Builders and Designers, Inc. is committed to ensuring that safety is not compromised during the performance of our work.
Part I Job site regulation:
- All employees of sub-contractors must wear shirts with sleeves, hard hats, safety shoes and safety glass.
- AM-FM radios will not be permitted on job sites.
- No smoking is allowed within the building envelope under construction.
- Daily clean-up is included in our sub-contracts and is enforced by Cirrus Builders & Designers, Inc.
Part II Job site safety rules:
- All equipment shall be shut off when refueling.
- Machines or equipment will not be operated without thorough knowledge of operating procedures.
- No employee shall walk under a lifted load.
- No employee shall go up on scaffolding without proper flooring, toe boards and guard rails.
- Unsafe conditions or practices will always be reported to supervisors.
- Nails are to be stripped from lumber as soon as it is dismantled.
- Loose or unstable objects (concrete, block, boxes, etc.) are not to be used as supports for scaffolding, ladders or planks.
- Visually check electronic hand tools and extension cords daily. Remove defective tools and cords from service.
- Do not use defective ladders. Ladders shall be tied off and extended 36" above landing.
- Appropriate safety goggles must be worn when welding, hammering, chipping, burning, grinding and when doing other work that may cause particles or irritants to enter the eye.
- Respirators must be worn in dusty conditions, or when work with toxic materials requires their use.
- Wear gloves when handling rough edges, abrasive materials, or when hands are subject to cuts, punctures, or burns.
- Wear fall arrest belts where there is potential for falling.
- All electrical circuits must be treated as if they were live.
- Possession of drugs, alcohol or weapons in not permitted on job sites.
- All activities engaged in while working on Cirrus Builders projects are to be performed in strict compliance with the most current O.S.H.A. regulations.
